As experienced educational institution auditors, we are familiar with, and continue to subscribe to industry specific publications, such as NACUBO’s Financial Accounting and Reporting Manual for Higher Education and NACUBO’s Federal Audit Information Service for Higher Education. With over five years of service on the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board’s Annual Financial Reporting Requirements Committee, we are very familiar with those requirements.
Our governmental, nonprofit and compliance practice performs more than 100 compliance audits annually, including Federal and State compliance audits under OMB Circular A-133, Audits of States, Local Governments and Nonprofit Organizations and the Texas Governor’s Office of Budget and Planning, Uniform Grant Management Standards Single Audit Circular.
Experience with Federal and State Financial Aid Programs
Our higher education team has extensive experience auditing student financial aid programs including federal awards from U.S. Department of Education Student Financial Assistance Cluster, and Carl Perkins programs as well as State awards from Texas Workforce Commission and Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board among others.
