7/10/2007 - Weaver and Tidwell Promotes Jeanne Smith to Tax & Business Service Line Leader
DALLAS-FORT WORTH, TEXAS (July 10, 2007) – Weaver and Tidwell, L.L.P. announces the promotion of Jeanne A. Smith, CPA, to tax and business service line leader. With offices in Dallas, Fort Worth and Houston, Weaver and Tidwell is ranked by Practical Accountant magazine as the Southwest’s largest regional independent accounting firm.
Smith, who joined Weaver and Tidwell in 1984, brings a long history of leadership experience to this position, most recently serving as the location leader in Fort Worth for the tax and business service line.

Smith has more than 25 years of public accounting experience. Her practice concentration is consulting and tax compliance for individuals, corporations, and partnerships including entity choice and structuring. She serves a variety of industries including construction, real estate, healthcare and professional service firms, retail, and non-profit organizations.
Smith earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Texas at Arlington and is a member of numerous community and professional organizations including the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, American Society of Women Accountants, Leadership Fort Worth Inc. Rotary Club of Fort Worth-South, and Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants.
Smith is a published author and frequent speaker on tax matters for lay and professional audiences.
