10/02/2007 - Melvin F. “Trey” Hunt III Joins Weaver and Tidwell as Senior Manager
HOUSTON, TEXAS - Weaver and Tidwell, L.L.P. announces that Melvin F. “Trey” Hunt III , CPA, has joined the firm as a senior manager in the firm’s Houston office. With offices in Houston, Dallas and Fort Worth, Weaver and Tidwell is ranked by Practical Accountant magazine as the Southwest’s largest regional independent accounting firm.

Hunt joins Weaver and Tidwell from Ernst & Young LLP where he climbed to the position of audit manager of Oilfield Services and Manufacturing Group in a very short time – gaining the distinction of being the youngest manager in Ernst & Young’s Southwest Area, moving up from a senior position and as a beginning staff member. His work included leading audits for a large multi-national oilfield services company and a large domestic manufacturer of residential HVAC equipment. He earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in accounting from Sam Houston State University where he graduated Cum Laude.
